REWIND! Re-visiting The Carvery Studio (& meeting Leo The Boxer dog)
This week I had the pleasure of returning to Carvery Studios, in their new Leyton location.
I first met Carvery in 2014 while on assignment for FACT Magazine, photographing a story about London’s Mastering Houses and it was really nice to see how much they’ve grown since then.
Since that visit, Frank who runs the Carvery has received a Grammy award and has been nominated for another this year.
There’s also a new addition to the Carvery family in the form of Leo The Boxer who has received the baton of Dubplate Dog from his predecessor Roy. He’s absolutely gorgeous and it’s practically impossible to do or think of anything when he’s around. Cos all he wants to do is play and cuddle, which I'm so down with!
The new Carvery Studio is stunning! Full of plants, colourful Sofrito posters, record sleeves & all the special equipment that contributes to the sound of brilliant records from labels like Strut, Soundway & High Focus.
The decor definitely sums-up the Carvery’s vibe and knowledge. I’d 100% recommend hitting Frank up for your mastering and dubplate needs. #notanad!
