Some of my "photos that tell the story of..." featured on Red Bull Music Website
In the run-up to Red Bull Music Odyssey event which happened on the 30th of June - the platform published a series of articles focusing on the photograph's and photographer's that helped to tell the story of some of the key genres and movements that in contemporary UK Music History.
I was very happy to work with the wonderful Youth Club Archive to provide a photo of DnB crew Bad Company for "11 photos that tell the story of drum 'n' bass in the UK" and two photos from Rinse FM for "11 photos that tell the story of pirate radio in the UK."
The picture of Bad Company was taken on the sunny roof of their studio in Hampstead for ATM Magazine in 2002. It was a fun shoot and hopefully the personality of each member of the crew comes across.
The Rinse FM images were taken as part of my Drumz Of The South series, which documented the early Dubstep scene in London and beyond. They feature two key Rinse shows - Youngsta & MC Task (with the image also showing their guest Loefah) and Skream's Stella sessions. It was an honour to be invited to document Rinse FM.

Click on the images below to peep the Red Bull Music Features. It's super exciting to be featured alongside the work of photographer's that I admire, such as Simon Wheatley & Courtney Hamilton. I started shooting music photography with the intention of contributing something meaningful to the record of music and culture history, so it's great to see that happening.
