Ocean All Over in Bristol
It’s great to back (safely) documenting & photographing people and projects again, following peak lock-down.
Last week I went safely to Bristol (truly one of my favourite city’s) with two of my favourite people & long time collaborators- singer-performer-writer Breezy Lee & poet-MC Sgt.Pokes, plus the multi-talented Alex Rigg of Ocean All Over.
The three are working on a new production called Ecdysis, inspired by the reptiles of the British Isles which include The Slow Worm, The Smooth Snake & The Luth. Each reptile has its own tune, composed & produced by a different electronic music artist such as Bristol’s Pinch and Mako.
A few photos taken at Mako’s studio and around town of Breezy and Pokes wearing some of Alex’s incredible costume jackets and we have the beginnings of a documentation of Ecdysis in vivo.
Next stop, Sleaford for the private view of Staging Places at The National Centre For Craft & Design.
You can also check out some of the videos made by Alex for some of the songs & performances from Ecdysis on their website.
